their spin-off show, Pinky and the Brain. Also includes the rarely-seen

P&B hilarity. Now if only other great Spielberg 'toons like
Freakazoid would make it on to DVD.

Scrappy the Squirrel, Boo the Chicken and Goodfeathers.
Looney Tunes: The
Golden
Collection-- DVD
Why these
56 cartoons out of the gazillion in the Warner Bros. vault?
Why not? The real reason is so that these four discs fit the Golden
Collection packaging. Where else can you get Bugs as barber in "The
Rabbit of
Seville?" Next! Or Daffy as "Duck Dodgers in the 24th and a half
Century" which George Lucas requested be shown in theaters along with
Star Wars, and the inspiration for the new Cartoon Network series? Or
"Rabbit Fire" Duck Season! Rabbit Season!? Or Gossamer the hairy orange
monster in tennis shoes. "Monsters live such interesting lives." These
four discs play it safe with much-loved, sure-fire classics, not
little-known collector rarities. Remastered, restored, and uncut.
That's all, folks!

Cecil-

Clampett's "Time for Beany" radio and puppet shows, Beany and Cecil's
Saturday morning cartoons were the focus of Matty's Funday Funnies,

Beany Boy and Captain Huffenpuff to pilot the good ship Leakin' Lena,
always on the lookout for Dishonest John, Little Ace from Outer Space,
Go-Man Van Go, and any number of colorful characters. The twelve color
Beany and Cecil cartoons are from new transfers, and this set includes
a wealth of extras: four episodes of "Time for Beany," commentary by
Bob Clampett, voice actor Stan Freberg and Walker Edmiston, and
archival work-in-progress.
Roger Ramjet Deluxe Collector's
Edition-- DVD
Here are 120 six
minute
shorts from the very
limited animation cartoons of the '60s. Gary Owens, remembered as the
announcer on "Laugh-In" voiced Roger Ramjet, the stalwart, musclebound
leader of the American Eagle Squadron. Popping a proton energy pill
gave Roger the strength of twenty atom bombs for twenty seconds, just
long enough to thwart Noodles Romanoff and N.A.S.T.Y.--the National
Organization of Spies, Traitors and Yahoos. To order or for more information,
