This DVD boxed set
collects the three most famous and best-loved Peanuts specials: A
Charlie Brown Christmas, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and It's the
Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, along with three more Peanuts specials.
The most popular seasonal shows
of all time, now on DVD.
It's
the Pied Piper, Charlie Brown- DVD
This is the last
special made under Schulz's supervision, but it looks different from
previous Peanuts specials and violates the Peanuts "canon" by showing
adults. Lots of negative reviews on Amazon, but it also includes an
interview with Charles Schulz, and many fans will want to add it to
their collection.
Lucy
Must
Be Traded, Charlie Brown- DVD
The bonus
on this DVD is that it includes two other sports- themed
specials, Charlie Brown's All Stars, and It's Spring Training, Charlie
Brown. Some fans didn't like the main feature, but some
music was written by Vince Guaraldi, the original Peanuts composer,
and David Benoit's performance captures that spirit.
